Check back occasionally as additional tests may be scheduled. Other than sessions listed above, we arrange tests as we have test takers in a given area. Frequently, we arrange individual tests on the basis of a mutually acceptable time and place. All of our testing is conducted by volunteer proctors and some areas are more problematic than others.

The standard admission testing consists of two tests which take a total of about 1-1/2 hours. An acceptable result on either of the two tests will qualify you for membership in Mensa. The fee to cover test materials and scoring is $40 payable at the time of testing with cash, check, or credit card. These tests may be given only to individuals 14 years of age or older. Individuals 14-17 must have a parent available to sign their approval.

All materials required for the test are provided. The only things you are required to bring are a picture ID and your fee payment.

Membership qualification may also be satisfied by providing prior evidence. Details of this are listed at http://tinyurl.com/cjver. The fee for processing a prior evidence application is also $40, the same as for taking the tests. However, if you take the admission tests and do not qualify based on them, you may still use prior evidence for the same initial $40.

If you are unsure whether you wish to take the admission test at this time, you might wish to consider a Mensa Home Test. This is a self administered test that will not qualify you for membership but can provide some idea of how you might do on the admission test. These tests cost $18 and are available at the Mensa site above. They are now available both as an online test and as a written test. We also have some of them available locally for $15. Written tests are mailed to the Mensa office for scoring. If you are interested in this, let me know.

If you are ready to schedule an admission test now and the available test sessions do not work for you, let me know and we can work out other options together.

If you have any questions that have not been addressed about testing or if you have any questions about Mensa in general, please let me know and I will try to answer them.
